Russia's patron saint for the Olympic Games in Sochi.
Russian watch fans have long been loyal customers of the German luxury watch manufacturer GRIEB & BENZINGER. This is why the masters of skeletal clocks have created a gift for their Russian customers during the Olympic Games in Sochi: the special model "St. George".
Saint George, the patron saint of Russia, who stands for courage and bravery - and in the middle of the breastplate of the double eagle in the official state coat, was skewed and engraved by hand for this special model in the typical GRIEB & BENZINGER style. On closer examination, the fine detail of St. George, who is highly conquered by the lance of the dragon, can be seen without a magnifying glass and fascinate by their fine craftsmanship. At the same time, the precision of the hand-made, second-hand, and guilloché-dialed dial in Regulator-optik, which is customary at GRIEB & BENZINGER, almost falls into the background.
A further detail of this watch is the opening of the dial at "6 o'clock" which gives the view to the blue-platin-coated base plate - a detail that has been specially taken over for this special edition by the exclusive PLATINUM line.
